I had a tumor removed from my hand here last week and the staff was amazing throughout the whole process. I had extremely bad anxiety going threw with the removal and the nurses and Dr.Hennessy were so kind in talking me down and distracting me from what was going on. Turned out not being as bad as i thought it would. Haha. Then today i got my stitches removed and that process went great as well but what i really appreciate the most is the fact that i left a brand new $20 unopened can of formula in my room. Awhile after i got home the nurses called me and let me know that they found a can of formula and that they believed it was mine. Someone could have easily just taken that for themselves.. but they didnt. It meant the world to me that they called! Great observation and honesty! I am so thankful. I'm giving Valley View Health Center 4 stars while keeping in mind that this is a walk-in clinic- NOT AN ER and NOT YOUR REGULAR PRIMARY PROVIDER. I usually end up here at least once or twice a year. I have always been treated with respect by their providers and have felt listened too which is the most important part for me. They can have long wait times which I have anticipated with walk-in clinics. My waits have been between 30 min to over 2 hours. I think they operate on a 1st come 1st serve basis. While spending time in their waiting rooms - I have over heard the front desk staff interacting with clients trying to check in to be seen. I have seen clients get turned away because they are there with symptoms that need to be addressed by an ER. One man was there with chest pain and another man with a broken arm. I'm an RN an know this is not addressed in a walk in clinic. Go to the ER! Clients get mad for being turned away but they will get the best care in an ER where they have the tools, skills and staff to treat your emergent needs... chest pain, broken bones allergic reaction (someone gave a 1 star for being referred to the ER after they were having an allergic reaction to a medication). You front desk staff do need to do a better job at explaining why you are referring them to the ER. They come across as uncaring the manner that they refer patients to the ER. Just keep in mind it's not Burger King. It's not your way right away. It's a walk in clinic! Thank you Dr. Hennessey and the man and lady Physician Assistant that work there. (Sorry I haven't learned your names). I do think you should listen to your clients that complain about being turned away prior to the closing hour you have posted. If you are refusing patients at 9 or 9:30 pm because you close at 10 pm... change your posted closing hours to reflect when you stop checking in patients. Change it to 9 PM. It will give your clients a clear time of when you close. Your staff has time to process them and your nurse and provider time to evaluate and chart so you can be out of there by 10 PM!

I want to start by saying that this walk-in clinic treated us with more respect and kindness then the emergency room ever has. Front desk was exceptionally nice staff was very professional and extremely nice. The facility was very clean. They got us through in a very short amount of time. Thank you so much Valley View Health Center walk in clinic. This would be my first recommendation for any loved ones or family members.
